1990 silverado-no oil pressure-help?
HI-IM NEW HEAR--GREETINGS-----I HAVE A 90 FULL SIZE BLAZER WITH A 5.7 ENGINE.--IM THE ORIGINAL OWNER AND TOOK GOOD CARE OF THIS TRUCK. I RECENTLY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH NO OIL PRESSURE. I CHANGED THE OIL PUMP AND STILL NOTHING--THE OIL GUAGE IS ON ZERO--AND NO OIL IS PUMPING TO THE TOP OF THE ENGINE----IM STUMPED-----WHAT ELSE COULD BE CAUSING THIS PROBLEM?---ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY BE APPRECIATED

if the pump is good, and actually being driven by distributor as it should be, then you might have sludge or something built up inside the oil runners. did you use a new pump pickup screen? did you use a brand new pump? is there enough oil?
if the pump wasnt turning, u would know, the engine would ba makin horendous noises when running, if it makes loud deep knocking then the oil pump isnt turning, if it is clacking kind of like a deisel, it is turning, but there is a blockage in the oil passages (the noise is the lifters) that can be helped by running a detergent trans fluid for 5 min b4 your nxt oil change (type f) if it makes no noise then i would suggest the oil pressure sending unit on the top of the engin behind the intake manifold is buggered, after that, the guage
