1993 Blazer with 5.7 automatic, having a crank no start
(I know nothing about Chevy and I’m wanting to learn) Alright I’m in need of help, I was given a 93 Blazer with a 5.7 automatic to drive and One day after it got parked( only for a couple hours) it just cranks with no start(Yes it has fuel in tank). To cut it short I smell no fuel and see no fuel coming out of the carb when cranking. My grandmothers says she had just gotten a new fuel pump(she had the whole assembly replaced) put in a 11 months ago I’m not sure what could be wrong. If it is the fuel pump does someone have a guide or are there other things to check? I did some forum ready and someone mentioned the pump goes off oil pressure? The oil pressure when turned to the on position is 0, when cranking its 0 https://chevroletforum.com/forum/k5-blazer-22/92-k5-starting-problem-8936/
what are ways for me to check for issues before I attempt to dig out the pump.

I have a 93 Suburban, same motor. I assume you have throttle body injection, not a carburetor. Easy things to try:
1. Turn key to on (not all the way to start) you should hear the fuel pump run/prime for several seconds. That will show you pump is getting power.
2. Remove air cleaner cover and pour small amount of gasoline down the throat (1/8-1/4 cup plenty). Now try to start. If it fires you have spark, just no fuel from the injectors.

Since it fires with fuel, if you hear the fuel pump run at key on and you want to try a relatively easy fix, try changing the ICM inside the distributor. I am on my 3rd one. Make sure to use the heat paste!
