While this model ended its run, it is not uncommon to see them on the road or off, years after production end.

Default 84 k1500 question.

I'm new to this forum so any information would be helpful!

I got this truck not to long ago and one of the first things I did to it was exhaust, I don't like how it sounds. Yes it has stock manifolds still and when the money is available it will get a set of headers. Anyways, what is going to make this truck not only louder but more of better rumbling tone? 8 inch short glasspacks or long glass packs. Also, does it make any bit of a difference if the mufflers are turned around backwards or no? Please help me out here. I wan't that classic LOUD glasspack tone.

what did you put on it that you don't like its sound? also plan to use the same width of exhaust all through the system. in most trucks the pipe width should be 2 an 3/4 of a inch, sometimes 2 inches. make sure the headers and mufflers you buy match. make sure you buy headers for a truck most rear-dumps wont clear your drivelne.
but anyway the headers should make a noticable differance and i'd go with the short cherry bombs, thats pretty much a guess though i havent used glasspacks so cant say much about the length versus sound differance
