I'm trying to buy a "high capacity" air filter for my 2016 V6 4x4 Silverado. The 2016 brochure states the Z71 package can be had with a 4.3 V6. Goes on to say the Z71 package has a "high capacity" air filter. However the Chevy parts counter guy say only one filter is listed for 2006 V6. Owners manual also references one filter Part number. How does one get the "high capacity" filter ? (Is it a K47 designation ?) Thanks

 

I will maintain that Wix or Purolator air filters are the best air filters on the market. Donaldson's are great as well, but less well known as the other two brands I mentioned.

 

you are searching for the holy grail. get a filter that meets filtering standards. more filtering is better than more air flow....bad filters that allow more airflow my filtering less cause engine dust out.
