Default diesel 2 350 tbi

doing my swap on my projects,questions....im taking my 89 blazer 350 tbi that was mated to a 700r4 and putting it into my 82 k-10 which has a 6.2 litre in it now.wil all the computer stuff work it has a manual sm465 that the engine will now be mated to...was told i might need a chip for the computer(ecm) for the engine to work out properly? anyone do a swap close to this?

Default got it!

guess nobody has done one?well i got it, you need to replace the chip so it knows there is a new tranny behind the motor thats manual and not the 700r4....thanks brian @ tbichips.com

Brian,
I have plugged your site on here several times in the past for people with TBI.
I feel odd making ecm suggestions to you, but I think you would need to replace it as well as all of the fuel related changes.

im taking the entire system out of the 89 to install into the diesel...ecm,fuel cell,the whole truck is being swapped...including doing a front end swap.....brian is the person i dealt with @ tbichips.com to get the info for the chip to be replaced to recongize the tranny differences
