Default Steering knuckle repair / ignition problem

Hello all,
I just had to pull the steering wheel, lock plate assembly and the rest off to get to the steering knuckle so that I could get to the 4 bolts that needed to be tightened so that the steering could be tightened. After doing everything I needed to I started to reassemble everything the way that it came off. When I put the ignition tumbler back in I noticed that when I turn the key I can't get anything to work. The ignition just turns and nothing happens. When I put the top part of the column back on my radio turned on and now I can't get it to turn off. What in the world did I do wrong? Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
