hi y'all,

I posted this same post in the audio forum as well, and thot i should put it here too...

i'm new here, but my wife has an 02 malibu.
i was attempting to replace the oem radio with my old jvc mp3/cd player, and i can't find a wiring diagram for the 02 anywhere on the net.
i think i have the speakers wired properly, (only b/c they are thinner wires and all were grouped together on the harness) but i can't figure out which are the ground, remote, and illumination wires...?
after connecting the speaker wires and the 12+ constant (thick orange)... i am left with: a purple wire, a thin black, a thick black with white stripe, and a ribbed brown wire. all of which were originally connected to the oem harness.
i need to know which these are so i can continue.
any help provided would be greatly appreciated, and i know that i can buy the wire diagram, i was really hoping not to, just need this "simple" answer. thanks
