Default 04 Maxx XM problem

Awhile back my car decided it no longer wanted to acknowledge the xm option in the source button-almost as though the xm part was just removed (although the antenna remains)-I only get options for am & fm...now today I noticed my the RSE gets power however it won't actually play a movie-almost as though the buttons on it no longer respond. Example-there is a movie in it...it won't play, or eject and the source button on works for the radio that is playing in the front.

Is this some sort of strange electrical problem or is it something as simple as a fuse?

I talked to some guys at a car stereo shop-they have no clue where the xm is even located in the car so having their help...not happening.

Any assistance would be hugely appreciated!!

I would start out by checking fuses

maybe just your source button is screwed, that source should not chage frorm XM to AM to FM, your band button will, your source will chage from radio, to CD, to DVD. cant see it being a fuse or more things would not be working...

does hte DVD light up when a DVD is put in or does it just stay dead?. and does the remote work for hte DVD?
