Hello

I have a 200 chevy malibu and yesterday was driving then i parked it and turned it off after that i tried to turn it back on and the the starter was making a load noise like clicking but you can fell that its turning. the engine does not move meaning cant feel like the starter is toucking or moving the wheel.

Can it be that the start is broken and it is not extending the bar so that it touches the wheel so that the engine can turn over.

Here some history of the car. Theft light turns on at time. and when you turn on the car at time this clicking shound comes on in the engine motor runs the same but all i have to do is turn off the car and back on and it goes away. hope that the engine did not seize on my and broke the starter please reply thanks.
