This has been a problem for awhile now but it's been getting worse lately. When I drive my 2002 Malibu, the turn signal clicking noise will start on its own even though I haven't used the signals. When it starts clicking, I can get it to stop by turning the hazards on and off, or also by hitting the top of the dash real hard near the hazard button.

My thought is that replacing the hazard flasher will solve the problem, but I don't want to go to the trouble if it's something else.

Anyone have a similar problem? It's super annoying and I'd really like to get it fixed w/o spending an arm and a leg. Thanks!
