Default 2004 Malibu LS Automatic Light Sensor

This is more of a mere inconvenience, when I bought my 2004 Malibu, I immediately noticed that the automatic light sensor was missing. I've looked at getting it replaced, but have ran into a few issues.

1. First thing is that I'm not entirely sure what the connection looks like.
2. Will the dash panel need to be removed to replace the sensor. And if so, what is the best (or easiest) way to do so.
3. Would the new sensor need to be programmed, or is a a "Plug-n-Play" kind.

Any insight regarding my question will be greatly appreciated.
