Default 2006 Malibu Maxx SS SES Codes
I have a 2006 Malibu maxx SS, and the SES light is on. I haven't checked the fuel cap to see if it is tight or not as yet (that is probably the issue) but I would like to find out if there isa key sequence to retrieve the ECM codes similar to what Chrysler has ?

You need at least a code reader, GM does not make it that easy.
