Default 2007 'bu has a P0449 code

My 'bu has a boo boo....

I pulled a P0449 off of my Malibu a while back. I replaced the purge and the vent solenoid but to no avail. My next guess is it is electrical but I don't know where to look. (i.e. with key on the purge solenoid should have juice going to it to open the valve.....etc.)

Any suggestions? Am I going in the right direction?

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum...
Have you cleared the DTC and it keeps coming back or did you just recently replace the two items and the code is still present?

It will take some time for the errors to clear on there own....

If you cleared them and they came right back them a bit more troubleshooting is needed...

After replacing the components I disconnected the battery for 15 or so minutes. The code cleared and then came back.

I agree...more troubleshooting is needed but I haven't seen where/how on any of the forums. At this point I'm pretty sure it's an electrical issue but without knowing how it's supposed to work seeing how it does work is of no help since I've nothing to compare against.

All I have is a multimeter so the troubleshooting has to be simple to avoid the dealership.
