Default Ecotec 2.4l (LAT) timing chain replacement extra parts?

2009 Chevy Malibu Hybrid. The plastic fixed chain guide destroyed itself and pulled out its two mounting bolts. I'm in the process of replacing all the timing chain hardware. The LAT engine has a "F(s) washer" p/n 55352475 on the timing chain drive sprocket. All the other Ecotec engines or this vintage do not seam to have this washer but use the same drive sprocket and timing chain hardware.

The washer was destroyed by one of the pieces of the chain guide bolt. I found the washer all messed up it in the oil pan. I can not find this part available anywhere.

Anyone know where to get one? Anyone know why its on the (LAT) engine and not the (LE5)?
Anyone know if the engine will be ok without it?

I bought the tradebit Complete Workshop Manual and it does not mention the washer in the timing chain replacement procedure. It does show up in the "Parts Locator" as being present in some models.

Any help is much appreciated! All the best.
Ed
