Default MALIBU AIR CONDITIONING

I was told that there was a filter in the back of the glove compartment and gets dirty and needs cleaning. I have tried to find a way to get to it and have given up...any suggestions. I was told how to make the a/c controllers work. http://www.imcool.com/articles/airco...Repairable.pdf
Thanks for any help you can give me

To my knowledge, the cabin air filters weren't introduced until 2000\01

Does your AC not work?

If you can bypass your compressor by wire jumping it and it works then it has enough refrigerant.
The control head in the dash may be needing a fix which worked for me. Take it out and carefully keep the parts in order. Take a #2 pencil and put graphite on the copper contact areas behind the switches. (I bent mine SLIGHTLY for insurance) Worked for me. After 3 years of slapping the dash to get it to go on and quotes of several hundred dollars, this has worked now for 4 years.
Otherwise diagnose relays and things. Good luck.
