Safe to Reseat BCM Connectors?
2006 Chevy Malibu Maxx
Is it safe to reseat the BCM connectors or are their pre-cautions like disconnect battery or reprogramming to worry about.
I want to clean and add Dielectric Grease to my BCM connectors.

For sure disconnect the battery, touch the terminals together to discharge any remaining charge in the system prior to working with any of the computer equipment.
Do not have the keys in the ignition when disconnecting the battery, it can corrupt the key recognition and result in the key needing programming by the dealership.

Preparation for Malibu BCM electrical connection cleaning = Remove Key, Disconnect Battery Leads and Short the Leads together to discharge system.
