Hello everyone. I'm having problems with my lumina. Its got 71xxx miles and is not running good. Car has very slow acceleration, idles rough and at any time while driving if you push the gas pedal all the way to the floor it bogs way down and almost stalls. When the SES light comes on it will hardly accelerate or if you are going 55 it will slow down to 30 no matter how much gas. SES light is on for code 43 (electronic spark control) any and all help appreciated as this is very frustrating. Thanks!

 

either fuel or spark....

3 things I'd check:

1) coil packs 2) Fuel pressure at the rail 3) Clogged Cat

we had a very similar problem with no power on the hwy - turned out being a clogged cat... see if you are getting good flow, - when you rev it, does any smoke come from under the hood?

last thing - being you got a 43, possible bad fuel injector...
