my 01 ss last couple of days we had heavy rain car wont start just keeps cranking you can smell the gas build up when cranking but when conditions dry up the car fires right up need help

 

It sounds like an ignition problem. Try cranking at night and then watch for a spark leak and get the ignition coil packs and wires checked out?

 

It seems like you getting water some were in the ingition

get a multimeter if you have one and check the coil pack wires resistance and compare them to the specs for the car . also you may want to check the gap on the spark plugs and check to see if they need to be changed. That may also cause a no start condition when wet..
