Default 95 3.4 problem with engine heat

I have a 95 monte carlo 3.4 at 99000 miles and the only oil leaking Ive had was the drain plug.
Normally it runs semi warm when doing normal city driving but on the expressway it would stay pretty cold as pop the hood and feel barely any heat from it. Lately though it has been having problems when you use the gas pedal it starts to heat up quicker than anythign I have ever seen and the red oil light meaning no oil comes on for a second when I hit a bump or turn semi hard and the temperature will shoot up quick. When I start the car you can hear the valves ticking but once it warms up a little it stops ticking.
Im leaning more towards a blown gasket or oil pump problems.
Anyone have any ideas or experiences on this Id be pretty happy
