Smile 98 Chevy Lumina 3.8L- Help with A/C condenser

Okay I'm getting a new condenser for my A/C System. I bought the Lumina in march and It had no a/c Compressor. It use to be a cop car. The car runs great and has no problems other than the A/C. I'm a student at the automotive department at a community college and they have all data repair program on their computers. It says I have to remove the the engine strut brace bolts from the upper tie bar and rotate the struts and braces rearward to remove the radiator.

I was wondering is there a way to do it without removing engine strut brace bolts from the upper tie bar and rotate the struts and braces rearward to remove the radiator..

I will post pics later today of the car and engine.
