Default 1995 Chevy Silverado No heat

Hello guys, new to forum. I have a 1995 chevy silverado. I used to have heat, but not anymore. Replaced the thermostat. No leaks, I do need a resistor, only blows on high, no leaks on heater core. Fans blows cold air out of the middle, and passenger side vents, nothing on driver side, floor vent and half the front window defroster. Radiator is topped off. Began to smell a slight burning smell from around the climax control area. Took what I believe is the blend door actuator off and tried to turn the gears by hand but would not turn. Any help would be greatly appreciated. THANKS IN ADVANCED

Welcome to the forum.
Heaters can be complicated if a person has never worked with them.
It seems You are on the right track by checking them flapper doors also check for vacuum leaks in them little hoses.they can sometimes crack and split.
I do`nt know why the door will not turn with the actuator disconnected but someone in here might have more experience with heaters/AC and chime in.
