My 02 cavalier is having air issues. When you turn the air on ans engage the ac button it starts to make a growling / grinding sound. Its hard to explain. It doesnt cool either. My cousin that is a mechanic said it was the air compressor is this true or could it just need freon and oil for the air? Please let me know what you all think.

 

Well if you put in r134a and oil and it doesn't work, I guess that leaves one thing.
