I'm new here and sorry if I'm duplicating but I just couldn't find my exact problem. First off, I have an 05 1500 Silverado it's not new, but it's new to me. The 4x4 will not engage, I checked fuses and removed the actuator to check that it in fact operational. The switch on the tcase makes noise as if it is trying to work. The lights on the switch light up as though they should. I have tried all combinations with the gear selector (neutral, park, slow rolling etc.). All things lead me to the tcase switch but I don't want to buy the darn thing just to find out it is fine. I would appreciate your opinions and help on this issue. Forgot to mention that I have not had any service lights or messages for four wheel drive service.

Ps. This forum has been a great resource for me. I've found answers to several problems, this just happens to be the first problem that nobody else seems to have.
