Default From 4high won’t shift into 2high but will shift into 4 auto and then back to 2high

I have an 05 Silverado 5.3 4x4 with auto, push buttons.

When I bought the truck 2 years ago the guy said he replaced the encoder shift motor on the transfer case. I was driving it for about 2 months then that shift motor went out and I was stuck in neutral. I pulled the front driveshaft and took the shift motor off and when pushing the buttons it was making sounds but not turning. I replaced it with another one I bought and then everything was working good. This was last year.

Now comes winter time I put it into 4wd and shifts perfect and then when I want to go back to 2wd it just blinks and wont shift. I then press 4 auto and it shifts into it and then from 4 auto I push 2high and it shifts into it. Is there any recommendations for fixing this?? I don't know what to do if my shift motors keep going out. I changed the switch buttons already and the front actuator. Changed the fluid with 2 quarts of auto trek II.

When it shifts it's smooth. Just won't go from 4high to 2high And worried about being stuck up camping in 4wd. Please any help

It's exactly the same as the way you got to the Welcome New Members section here. Go back to the main initial page for the forum and you can find how it's divided up into different groups. Just scroll down till you get to the section labeled current Chevrolet trucks, SUVs, etc. When you get there, you can just start your new thread and copy and paste your info from this one or start from scratch if you want to.
