I just bought a 94 Silverado 1500 automatic and it will not go into 2nd gear. When in 1st, i get the rpms up and then let off the gas it will bypass 2nd and go into 3rd and be fine after that. I went ahead and replaced the 1-2, 3-4 solenoids but it didnt fix it. The transmission is very smooth. I noticed when I was putting in the new solenoids that the clips on the plugs were broke. The solenoids didnt seem loose but could it effect it? I know the part number changed for the solenoids. If the guy gave me the wrong one (although it was a perfect fit) could it cause it not to work.
