Greetings! You can call me Fortis. I recently purchased a 2003 Silverado 2500HD with the 6.0 Vortec V8. Bought this truck with the intentions of having a 5th wheel hitch installed in the bed and using her to pull our RV around the country while I work remotely. I've been to the mechanic now just for an initial inspection and to get their "dream sheet" of all the things I could give them money for. I have neither the tools, time, or experience to do much with this thing myself, as of yet, but I am learning little by little. Looking forward to getting some useful insights from those of you who have been around trouble this size before. Standby for a lot of requests for "second opinions."

Having said that, the kids love the truck. I love the truck too, but I'll be honest Scarlett (my wife named based on her color and personality) is becoming an intimidating financial investment. I have no doubt we got a great truck for the right price. She's got 187K miles on her and we paid just under $10K from the dealer. Body from the top down and inside is in great shape for the era, though everything under the cab is rusted. I'm learning about this era on YouTube one video at a time. If it's not against the rules to ask, pray for me, hahaha
