Default Limp home mode

I have an 05 Silverado with 158k on it. While putting on a light bar we connected all the wires and the truck went into limp home mode. Took it to a shop and he said possible pedal sensor was bad. Changed that out and it still throws a code for the pedal sensor. I’ve only had the truck for 5 months and it has run flawlessly. Not overheating, battery is good fluid and tranny works good. Just won’t get above 1500 rpms and any faster than 50mph. Any ideas on what it would be. We connected the light bar to the jumper post and the ground to a bracket off the alternator.

Disconnect it, does the problem go away?
