Default Buy a FORD instead

Customer service with gm in terrible. A month out of warranty with a brand new transmission that cost me 4800 and the dealer being shut down due to covid would not honor the warranty, when the representative stated thaey have honored people being a year out of warranty. Gm does not care about their military and first responders stay away from them and go with a real american company.

they may goodwill people out of warranty but you must have not met the criteria. its pretty standard for the industry. If a company p@#@#ed me off i would go elsewhere too.

Did you try another GM dealer? The warranty should be covered by any GM dealer.

Default Tried everything

I spoke with 1 other gm dealer and no luck as they told me I bought the transmission through the other and had it installed there. Thats when i contacted gm headquaters and was told due to my high mileage and year of the truck 2011 it was not worth helping me. I explained kindly that a new trans has nothing to do with the year or mileage and I was still with in the parameters to the warranty. They truly did not care at all.

Brand new trans from the dealer and installed by them. 3 year or 100,000 mile warranty.

Don't give up, keep calling GM customer service. They kind of did that to me ,any years ago and I kept calling and finally they helped some. i had a transmission that went bad a few months after warranty and I kept calling and they finally rebuilt it for $1000 instead of the $3200 they originally wanted.

if you have documentation that states 3/100 and you are within 3/100 and they won't fix it...lawyer up. if the 3/100 is over..try what he said..be nice and hope they do something for you cause they really owe you nothing.

Agree with above. If you think Ford will treat you better, go for it. But they are no better.
