Question Does this look familiar? Mystery door!

I just bought a house and found this GM door skin in my garage. It is 25 in. top to bottom and 52 in. front to back. I've had no luck with the part number, aside from one hit in an old list of discontinued part numbers published in 1981.

Does anyone recognize what model / make it comes from?

Any help would be appreciated!

Default Photos of the door

The photo links should work if you opt to open in a new tab or window, but to save everyone the trouble, I've reattached them here.

That was fun looking at old 1981 models on google.

So that's 3 separate distinct creases on the outer shell? Can you do a profile shot?

I'm guessing you are in the USA and not another country?

Default door in profile

Here are pics of the door in profile:

PS: it's out of focus, but zoom in and check out the metal shelves in the background, which came with the property - a paean to Chevy probably by the same fellow who left the door.

dang!! that's one hell of a bend... looks more massive in profile.

Was this original post relocated? I don't remember it being in "Nova & Chevy II" originally.

Very close indeed; I definitely am leaning Buick at this point. Two problems with all of the models I've looked at so far:

(1) The mirror mount is too far from the leading edge of the door. On mine, the mirror would be about 4 inches from the point at which the top edge begins its downward turn. Most models had the mount more like 7 - 12 inches from the leading edge. An easy check on the images is against the handle, about 7 in. long. This seems to exclude the Buick Regal.

(2) The handle is the wrong style, or the configuration of handle and keyhole is wrong. Click here for a tempting example (1980 Buick Riviera).

PS: I just investigated the rat-dropping encrusted cardboard box a little more closely and found "Lansing" scrawled across it. Probably doesn't help us any?
