Default straight 6 swap to a 350

Anyone know where and what motor mounts I will need?

Also I am assuming the 350 will fit in no problem. Do I need to do any mods to the shock towers for the headers to fit?

any help is greatly appreciated

I believe Mounts (towers need to be relocated, or possibly replaced also)(I have changed in a 79 v8 in where a 327 sat and not the 6 to v8 swap) from a v8 truck 63- 72 should work, with 63- 72 exhaust manifolds. If your 350 has newer manifolds they hit the old mounts. An alternate way, to keep the newer manifolds, is to get the newer towers and mounts (73- 8*) and drill new holes.

Been there, done that before. I Have a 1964 Chevy II and went from a straight 6 power glide to a 327 with a M21 4 speed.

NO the shock towers don't need to be removed or relocated! I found the V8 mounts on the National Nostalgic Nova site https://www.nnnova.com/. You may want to join them to get easy access to buy parts! If you are not using a Chevy II small block (yes they are different!) and if you are not changing the front suspension or engine cradle, you need to make a few modifications to your 350 to make it work. You will need a front sump oil pan (deep part in the front instead of the back), oil pump pickup and new oil pump drive rod (it's a little shorter than the standard drive rod and your distributor won't drop all the way down if you don't change it!), dipstick too. Headers must also be for a Chevy II or they won't fit. If you don't convert the engine then it won't drop in! All these parts are easily available these days on the NNN website. They have a basic conversion kit for about $350. Remember that the Chevy II is a unique car and a lot of parts from other Chevy's won't fit your Chevy II. Trust me, I found all this out the hard way and had no guidance. Lucky for me at the time I had an OLD Chevy dealership that had a lot of old stock parts that bailed me out. (before the internet! LOL). NNN was also a great help. I was one of the original members. Do all this and it's an easy conversion! back in the day.

Trans mount will need to be changed too! Are you running a manual or automatic trans? converting with a manual is a little more involved as I quickly found out. message me it you have a manual transmission for guidance .

Good Luck and Have fun!
