Default 1980 Chevy 3/4 ton help

I have a 1980 Chevy 3/4 ton. I need to replace the front axle but the problem is that i dont know what the size of the axle is. I was wondering if there was a specs page for it?

well its either a 12 bolt, of a dana 60, 12 bolts will have 12 bolts on the diff cover, and 3 bolts on the steering arm that comes off the axle (the one that connects to the box) and dana 60's have 4 bolts holding it in a square patern (then again if it was a 60 u probly wouldnt have broke it) what exactly is the problem with your truck? it may be fixed easily and cheaply
