A customer called about her 91 Cadillac Seville not starting, I sent a tow truck after it and when i got it in the shop I tried the ignition and got no crank the dash lights all came on and in the driver information center i got the following messages. Service ccr system. Service supplemental Restraint system. Starting disabled due to theft system. Remove key and wait 3 min.
I did and i got the same results. So i thought i would try and check the trouble codes. I installed the jumper wire from A-B turned on the ignition and did not get a 12 code but a new message on the driver info center, "set Timing mode" and again service ccr system, Starting disabled due to theft system, the only flashing lights is the driver information center light on for 16 sec off for 6. any ideas why no start and why cant i get the system to give codes
