Default Does your truck fit in your garage?

Years ago, I rented a house in Seattle that had a garage in the basement. Theoretically, you could put a car in there. But since the approach was down a super-tight driveway bordered by unforgiving concrete walls, it would have been advantageous if that car was something like an MG, or Miata. There's no way my 1980 Custom Deluxe had any chance of fitting. So I thought it was funny to read reports that plenty of people are having to literally mod their houses to fit their trucks. Ha ha! I am too lazy to drive mine into my garage.. Instead I just park it on the street. Luckily for me, the street is wide enough to where it doesn't bother the neighbors. I've seen some streets in my area that are extremely narrow and congested with cars parked on the sides.

Nope for me. previous owner built an office in the garage...can't even fit a car...tearing down a wall next summer....may turn into a total teardown.

Its not just garage doors...even old shop hoists don't fit the new trucks. Our alignment hoist rear slip plates are to short for trucks with 160 inch wheel base. pretty much every extended cab with a 8 foot box.

Bought home in 1997 with nice 3 car garage; being able to fit my ski boat was more important than number of bedrooms. Tuens out garage door was plenty wide, but bays were ot deep enough for my 21' ski boat. And doesn't fit the suburbans either One bay has my 68 El Camino and the big bay gets my daily driver Nissan 200sx plus lots of junk!

My Silverado fits, but I have so much stuff in the garage so that there isn't enough room.
