Default Please help

Ok, hey everyone and anyone, I'm very new (like five minutes ago) to the site. Hopefully I can be forgiven for currently owning my Yukon and no actual Chevy products, but since I've owned three Camaros (which I like to call CaMario, since my name is Mario), I'm counting on you looking past that.
Anyway, if anyone can PLEASE help me out with this issue, it would be greatly appreciated. Issue - 1999 Yukon Denali 4x4. When I bought it used, the remote was bad and since the inside door handles are broken from the weight of the doors and I actually have to open the windows to let myself out from the outside, I wanted to have a functioning remote, especially with the security system. I bought two remotes from Auto Zone (one at a time) with each having VERY different instructions on how to program them. When neither one would work, I broke down and bought the remote for my vin number, from my local dealer......which, of course, came with a THIRD different set of instructions. Let me make it clear that the third one failed for the same reason as the first two - I am completely unable to get my truck into programming mode. I've tried every different set of instructions known to man and it won't give me the lock/unlock or any indication that it's in programming mode. I've even tried holding down the remote buttons anyway, after every attempt, just to see if it would work anyway......If anyone could PLEASE help me, you would save me a lot of headache, heartache and just aches in general. Thank you

Welcome from Florida. The keyless entry receiver may be bad or it could have been removed by someone before you bought it. Check that first and also for there might be some blown fuses. I would also replace the inside door handles. They are not expensive and easy to replace. How did the weight of the doors break the inside door handles?
