hi guys ! i have a 1995 chevy blazer 4.3 ! what the problem is when i go to start it, it turns over slow but it always starts ! once it starts it runs good and has all sorts of power ! i have a brand new battery in it and i took each battery cable off the battery and cleaned them up good but it still turns over slow ! it has lot of miles but i had cars before with lots of miles and they turned over fast ! i am thinking maybe the starter is dragging ! what do you think about the starter ? once it starts it sits there and idles smooth and quiet ! how hard is it to change the starter on that car ? thanks guys !

 

Unless your battery cables are old and have a lot of resistance in them then it is the starter
or the starter solenoid. Check and clean both ends of the battery cables. Remember the ground cable is just as important as the positive cable.
