hi guys ! i have a 95 chevy blazer 4.3 and the service engine light sometimes come on when i start it and sometimes not ! once it comes on it stays on and when it don,t come on it stays off as long as i am driving ! i bought a new gas cap and that did not help ! i had the codes ran and it came up as E-VAP ! they said the trouble could be the charcoal canister, maybe a hose ! what do you guys think it might be ? i must add that it runs just as good weather the light is on or off ! by the way could the ABS light staying on have anything to do with the service engine light ? thanks for your time ! oh ! i almost forgot to ask you would a dirty fuel filter trigger the service engine light ?

 

What is the exact code that is coming up? The ABS light being on does not turn on the check engine light.
