Default 1998 Popping felt in steering collum

I have a 1998 Chevy Blazer. When I'm backing out or turning in when my wheel is almost in full lock, I feel this sudden pop in the steering collum. It's not just alittle pop, but it's kind of a loud pop. Does anybody know what could be the cause of this? I've been to three different mechanics and they say it's ether the intermidiate shaft, the CV Axel, or a ball joint in the front. What's y'all's take on it?
