Default 1999 Blazer 4.3 4x4

Hi, I have a few problems and wanted to see if anyone could help.

First is while driving my blazer around 1200 to 1800 rpms just starts to jerk. Doesn't do this all the time just around those rpms.

Second is when i put my vehicle in reverse when its cold it will not back up when i push the accelerator down. Not as musch when it warms up.

Could this be the transmission? I have only had the fluid changed once and really dont remember when that was. It currently has about 150,000 miles. This has been a great vehicle and I would like to keep it. Just wondering what would happen when the transmission needs serviced or if something is going out inside the transmission. Any suggestions would be great.

It sounds like it's time to have the trans rebuilt, if you haven't done so, check the fluid level.

Is the jerking from the engine misfiring or from the trans. and when in reverse it sounds like yea it would be a good time to look into it or at least make sure it is flushed really good altho when its cold it is not going to be as tight as when its warm especialy at 150k

The engine on does the jerking then. When at idle it's fine or driving around just does the jerking when I get around those rpms. I have checked the fluid looks a little dark but no burnt smell.
