Hey ya'll. I need some help from the 4L60E Guru's!!!
I'm having a helluva time figuring this out (probably because I'm computer illiterate!). I have a 1996 S-10 Blazer with a 4.3l. SO... 1996 4l60e's... there was a 1996's with 4.3's that had a removable bell housing! Which ones? There were 1996's with 4.3l's that had one piece transmissions! Here is the situation I am in, I need some confirmation to move forward! I have a 1 piece K trans with PWM/12pin/4x4 that the internals are toast! Including the pump! I also have a 1996 3 piece trans that has the PWM/12pin and is for a 4x4. I bought this from a Trans rebuilder that I really do NOT want to deal with anymore!!! I'm confused about the fact i was sent a trans that they say is for a 1996 blazer 4x4 with 4.3!?!?! I'm no pro, but I have rebuilt quite a few 4l60e's with stock parts... SO, if the insides are all the same I am very confident that I can swap the parts out of the 2 piece into the 1 piece.... Are they the same internals????? I appreciate any input!!
