I am new to the forum and I need some advice. I got a 96 s10 reg. cab 4x4 5-speed manual, 4.3 VIN "X". My engine blew and I am having a really difficult time finding another "X" engine. I have heard that a 96-98 S10 VIN "W" engine should work as well and there are several of those around my area at the junkyards. Will this engine fit my truck? Any modifications required?

ANY advice on this would be highly appreciated! My truck has been sitting for 2 months now and it sucks!
