abs problems
Hi Everyone,
I'm new to the forum here. Looking for help with my anti-lock brakes changed out the sensors yesterday, and on my way into work they acted up again. What happens is when i step on the brake the truck slows down normally until I get to about 20mph or so then the anti-lock brakes kick in and is it scary tring to stop. Was wondering if i pull the fuse from the panel located by the driver door if that will disable the sensors until i can get it to a garage later this week to have them look at it. Is pulling the fuse going to screw up anything else?? Oh by the way I have a 2000 chevy s-10 4wd
Thanks

Pulling the fuse will disable the ABS and get your brakes back to normal except the ABS won't work. It sounds like you have the wrong sensors. The same thing happened to me when I put the wrong sensors in. Bought the right ones ones and it stopped doing it. Still had the ABS light come on at times.
