1998 S-10. The brake lights stay on despite installing a new brake light switch. I rewired the 3rd light and the brakes worked normally for a few days. I read related posts and switched out the relay too. Now the brake lights came on mysteriously this evening, the truck had been sitting for a day or two. As I said I thought I fixed it by installing a new switch and resoldering the 3rd light but obviously I didn't fix it. I've had to remove the fuse to avoid draining the battery. Any ideas?
