My Catalyst converter on my 93 S-10 is glowing red after running for a while. Is this normal? I know that the function of the converter is to burn any excess in the exhaust but does it normally glow red. What would be the cause if there is a problem. I am afraid it will get too hot and start a fire or something. I noticed that the floor is warm over the converter but not too hot to touch.
