Clutch line in 98 S-10
I'm looking at picking up a 98 S-10 with 2.2 4 cyl. During preliminary inspection of the buy I got into it to make sure the tranny was free and the clutch pedal went straight to the floor with no effort at all. No fluid in the reservoir, countless bottles of fluid in the cab, looks to be a line leak, that has been there a while. I'm already looking at having to replace the fuel tank and bed so there with a few favors is $400 added to the cost of this temporary ride.
Before I commit to buying this truck, How much trouble will it be to fix this line?
Unless he takes my last offer, this line is most likely going to be the deal breaker because it's out of my purview as far as the repair work goes. If it's too much of a headach I'll just drop this buy right here and wash my hands of it because our haggling has already hit my budget cap for the truck. If it's not that bad I might scrape up a little more cash, but I need to know what that will take.
