Okay for the last few weeks my 98 s10 2.2L has been acting up! Every now and then it will crank but not start! And sometimes it will start up with no problem! It has new fuel filter and the fuel pump seems to be fine! If you have any idea what it could be please let me know

 

When you say it won't start, is that it won't start at all or will it start after extended cranking? Do a fuel pressure check. It could also be the check valve if it starts after extended cranking. When it will not start spray starter fluid into the throttle body. If it runs for a few seconds then it is a fuel problem.

 

check the the air filter, check for spark,

 

Could be fuel pump if pressure is to high or to low have to do pressure test .
