Wink overheating!!!!!

I have a 2001 blazer. I can't make coolant stay in the radator for no more than 3 days and it begins to overheat. I actidentaly removed the radator cap and coolant went everywhere! I filled the radator up and now I don't have any heat and still overheats. My question is where is the coolant going I think I have small leak but where and 2nd question is how do I get my heat back?

Thanks
Daniel

The first place to check for a coolant leak is the radiator. Then locate your Blazer's engine coolant reservoir and perform a visual inspection of all the connection points where hoses are attached to the coolant reservoir. Look for broken connections, hoses that are degrading and any cracks in the rubber of the hoses or gaskets. If you find any, fixing the problem may be as simple as draining the cooling system.

If you can't find any leaks after a visual inspection, look in the radiator with the engine running, but remove the cap before it builds up pressure. If you see bubbles after the thermostat opens, you have a bad head gasket. You could also have a bad intake gasket which would let water into the oil. Look for milky white oil.

I think your heater core line have holes or burst. the run into the firewall behind the motor there should be 2 lines the go into the heater core which the 'blower' blows on to force heat out of your vents
