Default Parking/tail light problem

Hi Guys I wonder if you can help. I have a 1999 S10 Export Spec RHD in the UK so lights slightly different. Anyhow I am not getting any power to the rear lights, I have checked all the fuses and they are OK. One bulb holder took in water and rotted out so I assume that kicked off the problem but still cannot understand why I am getting no lights or volts now. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

All the other sockets may also be damaged and in need of replacement. Check the wire going to the socket for voltage, not the socket itself.

Thanks for the response, all the other lights are working fine and I have checked the power coming in and there is nothing. I am now going to check for power at the fuse box and if there is power there I will have a look at the trailer socket as maybe something amiss there.
