I'm replacing the piston rings on my 96 S-10 Blazer. Engine is out and completly dismantled. Unfortunatly I'm stationed out in Guam and am having trouble getting the right size rings. I've ordered 3 sets and all 3 are the wrong size. The last set was good except for the oil scrapper rings, they are to big. Is there any place that will sell me just the scrapper rings or would it be a bad idea to have a machine shop open the gap to fit the rings I have. The compression rings all fit. Has any one had this happen?
