Default Pricing question for ZR2

So this guy on craigslist on is selling a '99 S10 ZR2 with a 152k miles, with a few added extras thrown in. From the pictures, the body's in great shape, with hardly any rust that I can see. The only problem he says is "The only thing I know that needs looked at is the 4 wheel drive. I'm not sure what it needs or what is wrong with it. It will go into 4x4 but it grinds when locked in. I think it's in the transfer case. Not sure if it needs a new one or what. It also needs a heater core. It is a good looking truck, it has a little bit of surface rust on the cab corner. " KBB lists this truck in good condition for over $5,000; he's selling it for $2500, so even giving the cost of 4wd and heater core repairs, is this really the steal that it seems to be?

Thanks for the input.

That truck would be considered poor condition.

Really? That suprises me, actually. So what do you suppose it would cost me to fix the 4wd and heater core, and would it be worth it do so?
