Exclamation 1995 s-10 PLZ READ...I need help asap!

Ok so i had a 2000 ford f150 that i traded for a 1995 s10 4.3 vortec with 100,000 on the engine over craigslist, and comes to find out i kind of got ****ed out of the whole deal. I took it for a test drive when i showed up to his house, and when he started it it sounded fine. Then we went off for like a 5 min drive and it started to bogg a little, and he told me its just because of water in the motor because he sprayed the engine down b4 i showed up, and after we both agreed on the deal i finally got in the truck and drove it and once i got to the highway it started bogging again and once i tried flooring it it wouldnt accelerate and the truck started to shake and finally it died..Can someone please help me out...

Try checking the idle air control valve, it may be stuck open.

If he is telling the truth about spraying if with water then you need you look in the distributor cap for water. Why would you trade a full size truck for a half size truck 5 years older?

because a half truck chevy is better than any ford, any day. i'd check your spark plug wires too. if the insulation is cracked or melted and grounds out to the frame or any thing else metal is can act like that. throw in new spark plugs while your at it, helps alot. my 89 s-15 jimmy did that.

Idle air control valve; where would this be located at and would we need to pull the motor back out for this process? We have the same problem going on with our Blazer. We don't have a problem cranking it, driving it, or when it cuts off, re-starting it. The problem that we have is that its been cutting off when driving down the road or highway. We're trying to make sure we've covered all the basis before spending anymore money on it. If you could let us know, that would be great. Thank you.

That sounds like a timing problem.
